Sneha Trust is a non-profit making, non-political and secular social service organization came in to address the social, educational, economical ,environmental and health problems of the downtrodden and disadvantaged communities in Karnataka.Currently, we are focusing on several key objectives like promoting employable skills and vocational skills development among disadvantaged youths belong to minority communities, empowerment of women, health and hygiene education, natural resource management, decentralization of powers like Panchayath Raj, child labor eradication, legal literacy, income generation activities, community organization, environmental protection activities in Kolar district.
An equitable management of human and natural resources with a major focus on women and child development initiatives with natural resource management.
To provide support, build capacity and integrate individuals into mainstream society who have traditionally been suppressed in personal, social, economic and political domains.
COVID-19 Awareness program
Due to COVID-19 crisis,we conducted awareness program on corona-virus and distributed masks at Kolar. The program would be implemented with effective coronary precautions for the rural people.This program saw a great success as it was made in towards the betterment of the society.
Cultural Jatha on Environment at Lakkur,Kolar District
We organized cultural jatha on water management, wastage management at Malur Taluk, Lakkur, Kolar District.Around 600+ people were participated in this jatha. Through this awareness was created among the people regarding the importance of water its management which was a great informative resource to the farmers at in and around villages as it would help their irrigational sectors.
Vocational skill development program at Kamasamudra village, Kolar District
Vocational training program is introduced to enhance livelihood opportunities of women who are at a disadvantageous position and have a scant exposure to technical skills and knowledge.So that we have conducted skill development program for self help group women's at kamasamudra,Kolar district.
Child Rights Awareness Program at Kallur village, Kolar(Dist)
Sneha Trust conducted Child Rights Awareness at Government Higher Primary School, Kallur village, Kolar District. A Total of 60 Children and 3 Teachers participated in the program. The program began with a prayer by the children. Mr.Narayan Swamy a social activist(secretary of Sneha Trust) spoke in length about the basic rights of every child namely survival, protection, development and participation. And we distributed school uniforms, books to children.The program concluded with a promise taken by the children to protect their right and the right of every child.
Women Empowerment Program at Kolamuru Village, Kolar District
We organized women empowerment program at Kolamur,Kolar District. There were two Self Help Group of women who participated in this program.And Secretary of Sneha Trust Mr. Narayana Swamy explained about how to manage self help groups and book keeping services.
Prevention of School Dropouts at Budikote, Kolar District
We conducted prevention of school dropout program at Budikote and we provided books, uniforms to children.this created an awareness among the rural children regarding the importance of education in their lives which provides them a proficient and a bright future.
Mrs. Leelavathi is the founder of Sneha Trust. She has experience of 31 years in the rural development sector. She has undergone trainings at state, national level on Societal analysis, Reproductive and Child Health, Health and Nutrition, Women empowerment organized by renowned organizations like SEARCH, Population foundation of India, SELF etc. She worked in different capacities in well known organizations such as Sunanda, Walk-wide, Kolar Milk producers Federation. She is a good artist and plays many street plays on Women empowerment, women education, Health education, Child marriage, importance of franchise votes etc. Mrs.Leelavathi served as Gramapanchayath member for 2015-2020 period.
V. Narayana Swamy
Mr. Narayana Swamy is the Secretary of Sneha Trust. He is qualified in B.A. He has 33 years of experience in the development field. He undergone various training's on Street theater, Non-formal education, societal analysis, Gender sensitization, RCH, ToT on Panchayath raj, SHG concept and bank linkages, TTP etc organized by well known Institution like IYD, MYRADA, NABARD, ICRA and RSETI, Dharmastala .He started SNEHA trust with likeminded friends with an objective to serve the vulnerable group of the society.He provided his services to Agriculture department, CIDOK, DIC, Dist Social welfare department as resource person.
Mr. H.A Mahesh Kumar is the Director of Sneha Trust. He completed his BBM and M.com and worked in various projects in renowned organizations like MYRADA, IYD and SLSGAS and Dhan foundation. He served as field officer in Savayava Bhagya Yojane in agriculture Department.
N.Krishna Murthy is the Director of Sneha Trust. He completed his Master degree in social work, and served as training officer in Sujala water shed program, as manager in community health scheme, Team leader in Integrated watershed program, social auditor –Kolar taluk panchayth and Trainer in Rural self employment training center.
Ms.Gowramma is the Trustee of Sneha Trust. She completed her CP Ed and worked as a teacher in private school.
Ms. Eshwaramma is the Trustee of Sneha Trust. She has completed BA, B.Ed and worked in a private school.
Mr. M. L. Raghuram was completed B.Ed, M.A (MSW) .And he's working experience block level co-ordinator in BMSSS Bangalore (CAPART) project, high school teacher in Presidency high school and new generation English medium high school kolar
Ms.Nayana completed B.A ,B.Ed. And she is working in Ashakirana Dropout Children School.
